According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may also occur in high and medium altitude areas of the state from 25 to 27 April. The weather may change, especially in some areas of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti. Due to this, the people of the plains are expected to get relief from the heat.
Temperature of Una reached 39 degrees
The temperature has risen in the plains of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours and the temperature of Una reached 39 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. This is the hottest day of this season. Similarly, the temperature of 4 cities of the state has gone up to more than 35 degrees and the mercury of 11 cities has gone up to more than 30 degrees. In such a situation, the people of the plains will get relief from the heat due to rain.
On the other hand, the weather is pleasant these days in the medium altitude and high areas of the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, this time the post-winter season has seen 30 percent less rainfall than normal. The normal rainfall in the state is 162.9 mm from March 1 to April 23, but this time, 113.4 mm of rain has fallen. Kullu and Mandi are the only two districts where more than normal rainfall has occurred. Kullu has received 3 percent more rainfall, and Mandi has received 8 percent more rainfall.
