Kangra’s temperature is 7 degrees higher than normal

The temperature of Una has reached 39.8 degrees with a jump of 4.4 degrees more than normal. The temperature of Kangra has seen a maximum jump of 7 degrees compared to normal and the mercury here has reached 36.2 degrees. This is the highest of this season.

In this season, the temperature of seven cities in the state has never crossed 35 degrees at the same time. The temperature of Dhaula Kuan has also reached 38.2 degrees Celsius. Due to this, people in the plains have started sweating in April itself. On the other hand, the weather in the mountains is still pleasant.

The maximum temperature of famous tourist destination Manali is 24.7 degrees, Shimla is 25.5 degrees, Narkanda is 18.4 degrees and Kufri is 19.6 degrees Celsius.

33% less rain than normal in post winter season

The state has received 33 percent less rainfall than normal in the post-winter season. According to the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall from 1 March to 25 April is 167.6 mm. But this time, only 113 mm of rain has fallen.

Mandi is the only district where rainfall has been 5 percent more than normal. All other districts have received less rainfall than normal. Lahaul Spiti has received 48 percent less rainfall than normal, Una and Chamba districts have received 47 percent less rainfall than normal.
