Ludhiana, April 27: Police have arrested a fake DSP in Ludhiana. The said fraudster used to present himself as a real DSP in front of people. The accused has also uploaded his photo on Instagram and social media wearing police uniform. Police have arrested the accused on the basis of secret information.

According to the information, ASI Roshan Lal was patrolling near Baba Than Singh Chowk. He had received secret information that the accused Karanbir Singh was roaming in the city wearing a fake police uniform.
He introduces himself as DSP among the people and has also uploaded photos wearing the DSP uniform on his social media Instagram account.
The police team conducted a raid and arrested the accused. DSP’s uniform, new khaki turban, brown shoes and socks were recovered from the accused.
The police team is investigating this matter thoroughly to find out how many people the accused has cheated by posing as a fake DSP. The police will soon reveal this matter through a press conference.
