In Jalandhar, some youths attacked the police party that went to raid the house of a youth involved in snatching. Residents were also injured in this incident. After the incident, all the accused fled from the spot. The accused had looted the phone of a migrant.
On his complaint, when the police reached the area for investigation, all three youths fled from there, and then the police went to the house of the said accused for the raid.
During this, a deadly attack was made on the police party. At present, four people are said to be injured in the case. The police will take further action after investigating the matter. The incident took place near Noorpur in Jalandhar.
According to the information received, the said incident took place near Punjab Gramin Bank located in village Noorpur, falling under the Maqsudan police station area of Jalandhar. It is alleged that three youths tried to snatch the phone from Rohit Pandey (currently resident of Noorpur), a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
But when the victim did not give up his phone, he was beaten badly. When the victim started shouting, the people around gathered, and the police department was immediately informed about the matter. Seeing more people, all three accused fled from the spot. Police took one youth into custody from the spot. But the rest of the accused fled.
Stone pelting on the police party that went to raid
After questioning the arrested youth, when the police went to raid Ghogri Road, the accused suddenly started pelting stones on the people of the area and the police from the roof of the house. 4 people, including police personnel, have been injured in the incident. Also, the vehicle of the police personnel has also been damaged. The matter was brought to the notice of SSP Harvinder Singh Virk. Today, the police will soon register a new FIR in the matter.
