Char Dham Yatra begins April 30 on Akshaya Tritiya; Over 22 lakh registered, 624 cameras installed for safety

The Char Dham Yatra will begin with the opening of the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya on 30 April. The doors of Kedarnath will open on 2 May and Badrinath Dham on 4 May.

Dehradun: The Char Dham Yatra will begin with the opening of the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham on Akshaya Tritiya on 30 April. The doors of Kedarnath will open on 2 May and Badrinath Dham on 4 May. The government claims that all preparations for the Char Dham Yatra have been completed.

So far, more than 22 lakh devotees have registered for the Char Dham Darshan. Registration is mandatory for every devotee coming on the Yatra. Without registration, pilgrims will not be able to do the Char Dham Yatra.

Registration checks will be done at major stops of the journey

Pilgrimage registrations will be checked at Sonprayag, Pandukeshwar, Hina and Barkot on the travel routes of the four Dhams. Online and offline registrations have been arranged for the devotees by the government. Offline registrations are also being done at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vikas Nagar and Herbertpur.

Offline registration started

The process of offline registration has started at these places from the first day on April 28. Under which 10419 pilgrims registered for the four Dhams on the very first day. 65 offline registration counters have been opened on the entire travel route.

Police set up a control room for the devotees

This time, for the safety of the Chardham Yatra and for the convenience of the pilgrims, a control room has also been set up by the police. Through which the police will solve every problem of the devotees. For this, two helpline numbers have also been issued by the police.

Devotees can tell their problems by calling 989784 6203 and 0135-27 14484. IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop has instructed the officers and employees posted on Char Dham duty to perform their duties with diligence.

624 CCTV cameras installed on pilgrimage routes and holy places

For crowd management, 624 CCTV cameras have been installed for monitoring the Yatra routes and Dhams. With the help of which every activity will be monitored. This year the government has also increased the coverage of CCTV cameras.

624 CCTV cameras have been installed in all the four Dhams including the Yatra route. Through which the entire Yatra will be monitored. Out of these, 120 cameras have been installed only in Rudraprayag district.

Dhams will also be monitored with cameras

79 cameras have been installed in Chamoli, 35 in Uttarkashi and 102 in Tehri, the districts on the Yatra route. Whereas 85 CCTV cameras have been installed in Haridwar district, 107 in Dehradun, 44 in Pauri.

Apart from this, the premises of all the four Dhams will also be monitored by CCTV cameras. For this, 5 CCTV cameras have been installed in Kedarnath Dham, 16 in Badrinath Dham, 24 in Gangotri and 12 in Yamunotri Dham.
