According to the weather department forecast, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the state from the first week of May.

During this period, lightning is expected along with strong winds. This change in weather can also affect the Char Dham Yatra.

Director of Meteorological Centre Vikram Singh said that the weather will remain dry across the state on 29 and 30 April. Due to this, the temperature is also likely to increase in the plains of the state. But from May 1, the mood of the weather will start changing across the state.

He said that this series will continue from 5 to 6 May. In which, heavy showers, winds can be seen in most places as well as lightning in some places.

On the other hand, the Char Dham Yatra is starting from 30 April. In such a situation, a large number of pilgrims are reaching Uttarakhand. The changing mood of the weather can also affect the Char Dham Yatra. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the visiting pilgrims to be cautious.

Actually, the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham are opening on 30th April. Whereas the doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham will open for devotees on 2nd May. The doors of Lord Badrinath Dham will open on 4th May. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain.
