There is a possibility of rain in most parts of the state. During this time, an alert has been issued for a strong storm at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light rain on May 1 and 2. But there will be more heavy rain on May 3 and 4. There is a forecast of good rain in the high-altitude areas on April 5. Due to this, the temperature will fall further during the next five days and the people of the state will get relief from the heat.
Last evening also, there was light rain in Theog and the surrounding areas. On the other hand, cold winds kept blowing throughout the day in Shimla. Due to this, the weather has become pleasant in the famous tourist places Kufri, Shimla and Narkanda.
There has been a slight decrease in the maximum temperature in the state during the last 24 hours. But the average maximum temperature of the state is still 1.2 degrees more than normal. Especially, the maximum temperature of Manali is 28.8 degrees with 5.5 degrees more than normal, Bhuntar is 33.8 degrees with 3.9 degrees more, Shimla is 25.4 degrees with 2.0 degrees more, and Kangra is 34.6 degrees with 5.0 degrees more.
Of course, Western Disturbance has been active from yesterday. But for today, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heat wave in Kullu and Una districts. Due to this, people in these districts may have to face problems due to a heat wave during the day.
