Shimla, May 5: The weather will remain bad in Himachal Pradesh for the next 5 days. During this period, heavy rains are forecast in some areas, thunderstorms and hailstorms in many places. This will also bring down the temperature.
According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance will weaken a bit today as compared to the last 5 days, but there is still a possibility of light rain in some areas today. The Western Disturbance will become strong again from tomorrow and there is a possibility of good rain till May 10.
Orange alert in 5 districts tomorrow and the day after tomorrow
An orange alert has been issued for rain, lightning and strong storm in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Shimla districts for May 6 and 7. Strong winds with a speed of 50 to 60 kmph may blow at some places in these districts. A yellow alert has been issued in other districts.
Similarly, a yellow alert has been issued from May 8 to 10. In the districts with yellow alert warning, storms are forecast to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
A sharp drop in temperature
Due to the rain in the state for the last 5 days, a huge drop in temperature has been recorded. The maximum temperature of many cities has dropped to 11 degrees Celsius. The temperature of Solan has dropped to 20.0 degrees Celsius after falling 10.5 degrees below normal. The temperature of Mandi has also dropped to 27.8 degrees after falling 5.0 degrees. The minimum and maximum temperatures of other cities have also fallen much below normal.
The weather department’s warning has increased the worries of farmers and gardeners
It has been raining continuously in the state since May 1. During this time, hailstorms have destroyed crops in many districts. Especially in most parts of Shimla district, apple crops have been destroyed. Peas and cauliflower crops have also been destroyed. Farmers and gardeners are disappointed. The warning issued by the Meteorological Department has further increased the worries of farmers and gardeners.
