Ferozepur Railway Division collected 3.32 crore fine: 33 thousand 439 passengers caught without tickets

In April, 33 thousand 439 passengers were caught traveling without tickets by ticket checking staff in the Firozpur Division.

To prevent passengers from traveling without tickets in trains, the Firozpur Division Railway caught a large number of passengers in April and collected heavy fines from them. In April, 33 thousand 439 passengers were caught traveling without tickets by ticket checking staff in the Firozpur Division.

A fine of about Rs 3.32 crore was collected from these passengers. Along with this, action was also taken against the passengers who spread dirt.

Let us tell you that, Firozpur Division also made people aware about travel in many places, including Jalandhar, Amritsar,and  Ludhiana, so that people can easily get tickets.

Ticket checking campaign will continue till May 21

Officials said that keeping in mind the increasing crowd of passengers in the summer season, a special ticket checking campaign has been started, which will continue till May 21. Meanwhile, regular checking is being done to maintain cleanliness at the major railway stations of the division.

Under this, a fine of more than 54 thousand rupees was collected from 319 passengers in April for littering in the station premises (under the Anti-Littering Act). In the same sequence, such checking will continue in the future as well, so that passengers who spend money do not face inconvenience.
