After this, in the first phase, the train is being run on alternate days.

The operation of the passenger train, which was closed during the Corona period on the World Heritage Kalka-Shimla railway track has started again. The Railway Board has again provided the facility of this train to the people after about five years. Earlier, many times, the Railway Board used to run the train from Kalka to Shimla for its work. Currently, the passenger train goes from Kalka to Shimla on one day, while on the second day it comes from Shimla to Kalka. Recently, the Railway Board started the train on a trial basis. The number of people in it is increasing daily. After this, in the first phase, the train is being run on alternate days.

The special thing is that it is being operated from Kalka to Shimla and Shimla to Kalka on the old time. Along with this, the number of trains on the track has also increased. Before the start of this train, only five trains used to run on the track daily. Now the number has increased to six. The board runs the holiday special train only between December to February and June to August. If this is also run, then there will be seven trains on the track. Note that people had to face problems due to a lack of trains on the Kalka-Shimla track. Currently, the trains running have online booking. Due to this, there was a long waiting period after the trains were full. This caused a lot of problems to the people. But now you will also be able to enjoy the passenger train.

The fare of the passenger train is also very low. In this, passengers can reach Shimla from Kalka for just 25 rupees. Passengers will get the facility of tickets at the counter. The train will leave Kalka for Shimla at 8:00 am. This train will reach Shimla at 2:00 pm. The train will take one hour extra time than the normal train, while the next day it will also leave from Shimla at 8:00 am and reach Kalka at 2:00 pm. It will have all general bogies.
