With this, internet services were shut down at night. According to the administration, this action has been taken to prevent rumors from spreading amid the tense atmosphere.
According to the information, amid the tension between India and Pakistan on Thursday night, posts started appearing on social media about the sound of explosions being heard in some villages.
However, during the administration’s investigation, no such explosions took place at any place. To stop such rumors, on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur, internet services were shut down in Faridkot district at around midnight.
However, people are facing a lot of difficulties due to the shutdown of internet services. Internet services are running in other districts, including border districts of Punjab, but people are upset due to the shutdown of the internet in Faridkot.
