Meanwhile, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport resumed normal operations early Saturday, despite heightened security measures. An advisory informed travelers that, although operations are normal, increased airspace restrictions and security protocols may cause schedule disruptions and longer security checks because of the current situation.

Additionally, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other authorities issued notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), announcing the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India from May 9 to May 14, 2025 (effective until May 15, 0529 IST), due to operational reasons. The affected airports include Adhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Awantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra, Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu Manali, Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot, Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise, and Uttarlai.

Earlier, India conducted strikes on four Pakistani military airbases in the early hours, with sources confirming the action was in retaliation for Pakistan’s attack on 26 Indian locations. Ongoing firing along the Line of Control continues as tensions remain high between the two countries.
