Shimla, May 13: In Himachal Pradesh, the Delhi-Shimla flight which was closed for 6 days has resumed, but the flights from Shimla to Amritsar had to be cancelled again today. At the same time, no flight took off from Bhuntar airport in Kullu and Gaggal airport in Kangra till 9 am today.
Alliance Air’s plane took off from Delhi to Jubbarhatti in Shimla at 6:10 am today, which reached Jubbarhatti at 7:25 am. 23 passengers came from Delhi to Shimla in this plane. After this, the same plane was ready to fly to Amritsar from Shimla at 7:45 am.
The passengers were also seated in the plane. Meanwhile, it was reported that Amritsar airport was closed and then the flight to Amritsar had to be cancelled. After this, it flew back from Shimla to Delhi at 10:30 am.
Flights could not be started from Gaggal Airport even today
Till 9 am, no flight arrived at Gaggal Airport in Kangra and Bhuntar Airport in Kullu today. It is being said that flights will be able to operate at these two airports only tomorrow. Flights to Shimla, Delhi and Chandigarh used to come from both these places, but they were closed five days ago in view of the war-like situation between India and Pakistan.
Although Gaggal and Bhuntar airport management had opened their airports for flights yesterday, no flights could take off today due to airlines not scheduling flights.
The director said- the flight reached Shimla on time
Shimla’s Jubbarhatti Airport Director Dhanpal Singh said that today the plane reached Shimla on time and was about to fly to Amritsar. But due to the Amritsar airport being closed, the flight had to be cancelled.
No flight took off till 9 o’clock – Dhirendra Singh
Meanwhile, Gaggal Airport Director Dhirendra Singh said that no flight had arrived till 9 am today. He has kept the airport open. The decision regarding flights depends on the airlines. He said that from Gaggal Airport, flights of three airlines, Spice Jet and Indigo fly to Shimla, Chandigarh and Delhi.
Bhuntar airport open for flights- Siddharth
Bhuntar Airport Director Siddharth Kadam said that he has opened the airport, but no flight took off till 9 am.
