Police have arrested 2 miscreants after an encounter in Sonipat. One miscreant has been shot in the leg in retaliatory firing by the police. Police were looking for the miscreants in the case of shooting two shopkeepers in Civil Lines police station area. One of them had died.
The accused injured in the encounter has been identified as Suraj from Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, while his partner has been identified as Prince. Suraj was currently living on rent in Sonipat. He has been admitted to the hospital.
Today, during the joint operation of Anti Gangster Unit Ajay Dhankhar’s team and Bahalgarh police station, Suraj has been shot in the encounter and the other has also been arrested from the spot.
Two days ago, three accused from Uttar Pradesh had committed the murder in the case of firing on Rahul and his friend sitting at the shop in front of the second gate of Sabzi Mandi. Rahul had died on the spot. The condition of injured Surjeet is improving.
According to the information, Rahul and his brother Rinku fought with the accused Suraj’s father about 1 year ago in Kutana, Uttar Pradesh, due to a land dispute. Keeping this grudge in mind, they were determined to take revenge. Where the accused, along with his two companions, shot Rahul two bullets while he was sitting at the shop 2 days ago in the evening. During this, while saving Rahul, his companion Surjeet was also injured by bullets.
