Ludhiana: Massive fire breaks out in washing unit, rescue op on

A massive fire broke out in a washing unit on Tajpur Road in Ludhiana, Punjab this morning. The fire spread so much that a large amount of machinery was damaged. According to the information, people gathered outside the factory after seeing smoke coming out of the RK Washing Unit at around 8 am today. People also installed water pipes from nearby factories to extinguish the fire, but it had increased so much that it was difficult to control it.

People informed the fire department. Fire brigade employees evacuated the washing unit and also evacuated the people working in the nearby buildings. After about 2 hours of hard work, the fire has been brought under control a little, but rescue is still going on. More than 4 water vehicles of the fire department have been used to extinguish the fire.
