Registration number CH01CZ0001 has received the highest bid in Chandigarh during the e-auction of fancy registration. The previous highest bid for a fancy number was Rs 26.05 lakh, which was placed for registration number ‘0001’ of CH-01-AP series in August, 2012.
The Chandigarh Registration and Licensing Authority conducted an e-auction of vehicle registration numbers (fancy and fancy) of the new series “CH01-CZ” from vehicle numbers 0001 to 9999, along with the remaining fancy/special registration numbers of the previous series, from May 18 to May 20. The auction concluded on Tuesday.
Registration number “CH01-CZ-” fetched the highest amount of Rs 31 lakh. Registration number “CH01-CZ-0007” fetched the second highest amount of Rs 13.60 lakh. In the auction, RLA generated a revenue of Rs 2.94 crore.
Apart from this, bids of Rs 13,60,000 were received for number CH01CZ0007, Rs 9,40,000 for number CH01CZ9999, Rs 9,17,000 for number CH01CZ0009, Rs 7,73,000 for number CH01CZ0003, Rs 7,66,000 for number CH01CZ0005, Rs 6,39,000 for number CH01CZ0008, Rs 5,26,000 for number CH01CZ0006, Rs 5,05,000 for number CH01CZ0010 and Rs 4,22,000 for number CH01CZ1000.
