HPBOSE Revised 12th Result: Year of 4,722 students saved, many out of merit list

At the same time, many meritorious students who were rejoicing four days before the revision of the merit list will also have to face disappointment.

Due to the mistake of Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, 4,722 students of the state were going to waste a year due to failure. Now after the revision of the exam results, the smile has returned on the faces of those students. At the same time, many meritorious students who were rejoicing four days before the revision of the merit list will also have to face disappointment.

The ranking of many has slipped one place due to the revision of the exam results, but it is believed that many meritorious students will now be out of the top-10 list. Four days ago, on 17 May 2025, the School Education Board had thrown the future of many students into darkness by declaring the erroneous result of all three faculties of class XII, because after 12th, children take admission in medicine through NEET and engineering and other higher education through JEE, but earlier 2,713 students were failed by the Board of Education.

Not only this, due to the mistake of the board, 2009 students also had to give the compartment examination again to pass the 12th exam. Now these students have got relief in the revised exam result by the State Education Board on Wednesday.

In such a situation, questions are being raised on the methodology of the education board regarding such a big mistake in the exam result. Due to this human error, more than two and a half thousand students were failed despite passing, while 2009 students were declared compartment in English subject despite passing, who have now got relief in the revised exam result.

It should be noted that 86,373 students had given the 12th exam across the state. In the exam result declared by the board on May 17, 71,591 students had passed the exam. In the re-released result on Wednesday, 76,315 students have passed the exam. Earlier 8581 students failed the exam and 5847 students were compartment. Now 5868 students have failed and 3838 students are compartment. On the other hand, State School Education Board Secretary Dr. Vishal Sharma said that the provisional merit list has been released by the board, but the final merit list will be released after re-evaluation and re-inspection. He admitted that the revised results will affect the ranking of the meritorious students.
