In the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, a woman worked as a teacher for about 15 years based on fake documents. When a complaint of this fraud reached the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Education Department, the woman resigned from the job in the year 2021.

Teachers were recruited in the Elementary Education Department in the year 2006 under a scheme. The matter gained momentum when a member of her own family submitted a complaint to the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Education Department.

The investigation started after the complaint. Seeing the pressure increasing, the woman resigned from the job in the year 2021, but the departmental investigation continued. Now the concerned teacher has been dismissed after the allegations were proven. The Deputy Director of the Elementary Education Department admitted that the teacher who had obtained the job on the basis of fake documents has been dismissed.
