Court grants Vigilance 5 day remand of AAP MLA Raman Arora today

Let us tell you that the MLA's case is related to the ATP arrested a few days ago.

In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Jalandhar Central, Raman Arora, was presented in the court today by the vigilance team, and his remand was obtained. However, it is not clear yet whether Arora will be questioned in Mohali or Jalandhar. Let us tell you that the vigilance team reached Arora’s Ashok Nagar house to raid at 8.45 am on Friday.

Following the hearing, the court granted five days of vigilance remand, although the authorities had requested a ten-day remand.

Originally scheduled to appear in court at 11 AM, Arora was finally brought in around 3 PM. As of now, it remains unclear whether the interrogation will take place in Jalandhar or Mohali.

The vigilance team kept searching inside Raman Arora’s house for about 6 hours. During the search, raids were also conducted at the house of Raman Arora’s relative Raju Madan and his PA Rohit. Raju Madan was not found at home, but Rohit was taken into custody by the vigilance. He will also be presented along with Arora today.

Let us tell you that the MLA’s case is related to the ATP arrested a few days ago. According to the government spokesperson, the MLA is accused of sending notices to people through the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. Then he got the notices quashed by taking money. An FIR has also been registered in this case.

Preparations for action against Arora had already begun. Arora’s security was withdrawn a few days ago. AAP leader and Sewerage Board Chairman Sunny Ahluwalia said that we have received information that Raman Arora has been arrested. However, Raman Arora’s lawyer denied the arrest during the raid.

Surprisingly, new committees of the Vidhan Sabha were formed 4 days ago. In this, Raman Arora was also made a member of the Public Undertaking Committee.
