Kaithal, May 25: A Haryana Roadways bus met with an accident in Kaithal, Haryana, on Sunday. About 35 people were injured in this. People present at the spot said that the bus went off the road while trying to give way to a truck and overturned in a field.
The soil beneath the road had become loose due to rain, due to which the wheel of the bus got stuck in it. After this, the police were informed about the accident. The police have reached the spot and started action. All the injured have been admitted to different hospitals in Kaithal.
The bus was going from Karoda to Narwana
This accident happened between Jakholi and Kasan village of Kaithal. People present on the spot told that the bus was on regular service from Karoda to Narwana. This bus left Karoda in the morning. Meanwhile, when the bus reached near Kasan village, a truck came from the front.
The bus was taken off the road to give way to the truck
People say that the road in the middle of the village is narrow. When a truck came from the front, the bus tried to give way to it. To give way, the driver took one wheel of the bus off the road. As soon as the bus went off the road, the driver could not control it again.
The bus’s wheel got stuck in the loose soil
Eyewitnesses said that there was heavy rain here on Saturday night. Due to this, the soil on the sides of the road also became loose. As soon as the bus’s wheel came off the road into the loose soil, it got stuck. Due to this, the driver could not control the bus and the bus overturned in the field about 8 feet below.
As soon as the bus overturned, there was shouting and screaming; the injured were taken out by climbing on top of the bus.
