Faridabad, May 25: On Saturday night at around 3 am, due to heavy storm and rain in Faridabad, a part of the roof of a house collapsed, in which five members of the same family got buried under it and got seriously injured. All of them were admitted to BK Hospital for treatment.
The incident took place in Sanjay Colony located in Sector-23. Indu Devi, who lives in lane number-8, said that she is originally from Madhubani district of Bihar. For the last several years, they have been living in a rented house here.
On the night of the accident, his son Shravan Kumar, younger daughter Rupam, elder daughter with her 1 year old son and elder grandson Mithlesh were present. All these people were sleeping in the same part of the house on which a part of the roof broke and fell due to sudden heavy rain and storm at night.
As soon as the roof fell, people from the neighbourhood heard the noise and rushed the injured to BK Civil Hospital for treatment.
A 1 year old child was also injured
In this accident, Indu’s grandson Mithlesh suffered the most injuries. A piece of the roof fell on his head. Due to which he was seriously injured. The one-year-old child also suffered injuries in his hand. But his condition is stable at the moment.
His elder daughter had come from Ballabhgarh to visit home for a few days with her son and elder grandson Mithlesh. No one had any idea that such an incident could happen.
Police reached the spot
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local police also reached the spot and took stock of the situation. Police said that the accident happened due to natural disaster. The injured were discharged from the hospital after first aid.
