Heavy rain alert in Himachal: Tourists advised to stay away from river, landslide prone areas

Shimla, May 31: Heavy rain has been warned in Himachal Pradesh today and tomorrow. In view of this, an advisory has been issued to tourists as well as locals. People have been advised not to go near rivers and streams, where water collects and in landslide prone areas.

These days, a large number of tourists from Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are reaching the mountains to escape the heat. Therefore, tourists will have to plan their trip to the mountains keeping the weather in mind.

It rained for five days in the mountains

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain bad in the mountains for the next five days. An orange alert has been issued for heavy rain from May 31 to June 1. Kangra, Chamba, Mandi and Kullu districts have been warned on May 31, while Solan, Sirmaur and Shimla districts have been alerted for tomorrow.

The storm will blow at a speed of 60 km/h

During this period, heavy rains may occur in some parts of the state. At many places, storms with a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour may also wreak havoc. Hailstorms may also occur at some places.

Temperatures dropped due to rain in 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, heavy rain and hailstorm have occurred in many areas. Due to this, a drop in temperature has been recorded. During the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 3.4 degrees. The temperature of many cities has dropped by more than 8 degrees in 24 hours.

Kalpa’s temperature dropped by 8.2 degrees in 24 hours

The temperature of Kalpa has dropped to 16.2 degrees Celsius after a drop of 8.2 degrees in 24 hours. The temperature of Tabo has dropped to 17.8 degrees after a drop of 6 degrees, and the temperature of Bhuntar has dropped to 28.7 degrees Celsius after a drop of 6.3 degrees. The temperature of other cities has also decreased.
