Rajpura: Fire breaks out in a mattress warehouse, loss worth crores of rupees estimated

A fire broke out in a mattress warehouse near Bhadak village, 10 km from Rajpura, causing damage worth crores of rupees. The fire broke out at 12 midnight and the fire was brought under control by the fire brigade in five hours. Fire brigade vehicles from Rajpura, fire brigade vehicles from Patiala and vehicles from Seal Chemical were called.

The walls of the warehouse were demolished with a JVC machine and the fire was brought under control. The rain was also heavy, but the fire was stopped from spreading to the petrol pump adjacent to the gate, otherwise, there would have been a big loss. The petrol pump was right next to the mattress wall. This information was given to the journalists by Amarinder Singh Ruby at around 1:30 am but he was saving lives.

The owners refused to come on camera. The building collapsed, and the cause of the fire was not known. A motorcycle and a car also got caught in the fire, and were burnt.

However, the only fortunate thing is that no loss of life has been reported.  Amrit Preet Singh Ruby Fire Officer Rajpura, told reporters that we had received information that a fire had broken out in a mattress warehouse, which is at a petrol pump near the village of Bhadak. Five vehicles, including Rajpura-Patiala Seal Chemical, brought the fire under control.
