32 students from government schools in Punjab pass JEE Advanced exam

32 students from government schools in Punjab have passed the JEE Advanced exam. Most of them are children from poor families. The mother of Arshdeep Singh, who passed the exam, is a sanitation worker, while Jaspreet Singh’s father works for just Rs 7,000.

Now all of them will fulfill their dreams by studying from IIT. Punjab Aam Aadmi Party in-charge and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, has given this information. He has written that till yesterday, there were no walls in government schools in Punjab, today the dreams of children are flying from there… straight to IIT.

After the announcement of the JEE Advanced result, Manish Sisodia wrote in a post on his social media account that history has been made. 32 children from government schools in Punjab have passed the toughest exam in the country like JEE Advanced… and now these children will study in IIT.

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains also took to X and shared a video message. Along with the video, he wrote, “Historic moment for Punjab! 32 students from Govt Schools — most from families earning less than ₹1 lakh/year — have cracked the toughest exam in India: JEE Advanced.
