NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui’s murder case mastermind Zeeshan Akhtar alias Jassi Purewal has been arrested by the Surrey Police in Canada. It is not clear at present whether this arrest was made due to information provided by Indian agencies or not, but Zeeshan Akhtar is currently in the custody of the Canadian police.
In fact, on the night of October 12, 2024, Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his son’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. After which the gangster Lawrence gang took responsibility for the murder. The gang had claimed that Baba Siddiqui was close to Bollywood star Salman Khan. That is why he was killed. The Lawrence gang has an old enmity with Salman Khan. On October 20, Salman was also threatened to kill him through an email.
Police investigation revealed that the mastermind of Siddiqui’s murder is Zeeshan Akhtar, who is a resident of Jalandhar. After the murder, he fled abroad. Then it was claimed that Pakistani don Shahzad Bhatti helped him escape.
