Shimla, June 9: After four days of scorching sunshine, Himachal Pradesh is experiencing intense heat. Especially in the plains, people are not able to come out of their homes during the day. The temperature of 9 cities is more than 35 degrees and Una and Neri have crossed 40 degrees Celsius. There is no hope of relief from the heat even in the next 96 hours i.e. four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain completely clear till June 12. Due to this, the temperature of plains will increase by two to three degrees and in high and medium altitude areas, the temperature will increase by four degrees. Due to this, the heat will increase in the plains as well as medium altitude areas.
Una’s temperature reached 41.6 degrees
The temperature of Una, adjacent to Punjab, has reached 41.6 degrees Celsius, 2.7 degrees above normal. The temperature of Neri in Hamirpur has also reached 40.3 degrees.
The temperature of Bilaspur has reached 39.1 degrees and Kangra has reached 38.6 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the temperature of other cities has also been rising continuously for three days, while till June 4, due to continuous rain, this mercury was running 4 degrees below normal.
Chances of rain from June 13
The state may get some relief from the heat on June 13. According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance is becoming active on this day. Its effect will remain for the next two days and light rain is forecast in the entire state.
Pleasant weather at tourist spots
Of course, it is very hot in the plains. But the weather is pleasant at tourist places. The maximum temperature in Shimla is 26.6 degrees, Manali 29.7, Dalhousie 26.5 degrees, Kasauli 29.7 degrees and Narkanda and Kufri have a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
17 percent more rain than normal in June
According to the Meteorological Department, so far in the month of June, there has been 17 percent more rain than normal. Normal rainfall is 15.9 mm from 1st to 8th June, but this time 18.5 mm of rain has occurred.
