Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand: Over 27.6 lakh devotees visit shrines despite bad weather

The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is at its peak right now. A large number of devotees are arriving to visit the four Dhams.

Dehradun, June 13: The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is at its peak right now. A large number of devotees are arriving to visit the four Dhams. So far, more than 27 lakh devotees have arrived for darshan in the Char Dham Yatra, which started on 30 April.

Even amidst the bad weather in the mountainous regions, the faith of the devotees is not wavering at all. Devotees are continuously arriving for darshan at the four Dhams.

Chardham Yatra started from 30 April

The Char Dham Yatra started in Uttarakhand from 30 April. On 30 April, the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham were opened for devotees. While the doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham were opened for devotees on 2 May. The doors of Badrinath Dham were opened for devotees on 4 May.

Within 42 days since the start of the Yatra, 27 lakh 62 thousand devotees have reached the four Dhams for darshan. The highest number of devotees among them is at Baba Kedarnath Dham. The number of devotees at Kedarnath Dham is reaching more than 20 thousand in a day.

A large number of devotees are reaching Hemkund Sahib

A lot of enthusiasm is being seen in the pilgrimage to Hemkund Sahib, the holy shrine of the Sikhs, which began on 25 May. A large number of devotees are arriving to visit Hemkund Sahib. Devotees are continuously visiting Hemkund Sahib amidst heavy snowfall. So far 95,660 devotees have visited Hemkund Sahib. On June 12, 6826 devotees reached Hemkund Sahib.
