A person died due to heat in Amritsar. The body found on the roadside near Company Bagh has not been identified yet. Local people informed the police late in the evening. The police is engaged in investigation.
Police officer Narendra Kumar, who reached the spot, said that the person had slept there to rest in the afternoon. When he did not wake up till evening, people informed the police. When the team shook the person, he was not responding. He was also not breathing. In the preliminary investigation, heat is being considered the cause of death.
Possibility of being a street vendor or rickshaw driver
Police officer Narendra Kumar said that nearby passersby are being questioned to identify the deceased. He believes that the person is a street vendor or rickshaw driver of the area. If he is not identified, the body will be kept in the mortuary.
Along with this, his relatives will be searched by sending photos to all the police stations so that the family can perform his last rites according to their customs.
