According to the information received, Vivekbir Singh (16), a class 11 student of Shamsher Singh, a resident of Thatta village, had a fight with a youth of the same village. Due to the enmity of this fight, Vivekbir was attacked by the accused when he had gone to the grain market in Sarhali for some work.

It is being said that the deceased Vivekbir Singh was a volleyball player. His cousin and other people took him to the hospital in an injured condition, but the doctors declared him dead.

As soon as the incident was reported, DSP Lavkesh and Sarhali police station chief Barjinder Singh reached the spot with a police party and took the body into custody. The DSP said that action is being taken on the statement of the family members, and the body has been sent for postmortem, which will be done on Wednesday.
