Fight between two groups in Himachal Pradesh, teacher dies

A case of death of a teacher has come to light in Rarang village under Murang police station due to a fight between two groups over land dispute. As soon as the information was received, the police registered a case and started investigation. Both the groups have filed cross FIR against each other.

According to the information received from Murang police station, the deceased’s wife Chunni Devi has lodged a complaint against these six people and alleged that my husband and I were returning home after watering the field when around 9:30 am Dawa Gyalchan, Sem Kali, son Suman Singh, Praveen, daughter Poonam and daughter-in-law all came together and attacked us with iron rods, sticks, stones, and sickles in their hands. Due to which Kumanand and Dandup Gyachho have been injured. Meanwhile, Shiv Singh of our village, who was sowing in the adjacent field, came to us and rescued us from the beating of these people.

We were worried due to the excessive injuries, because Krishna Lal was covered in blood and had fainted. Seeing this, all the accused fled from the spot with sticks, rods, and other weapons. The injured were picked up from there and brought to the regional Rekongpeo for treatment. After this, teacher Krishna Lal Negi was referred from Rekongpeo to Shimla IGMC. The deceased teacher, Krishna Lal Negi, age 51, resident of Rarang, died on Wednesday at 3 o’clock. In this assault case, two brothers of the deceased Krishna Lal, Kumanand and Dandup Dorje, have also been injured. All three brothers are residents of Rarang village. Krishna Lal was working as a government teacher in the Government Primary School Akpa.

At the same time, a case has been registered in the Murang police station on the complaint of Dawa Gyaalchan Rarang from the people of the other group. He says that he was present at his home at around 10:30 in the morning, he was working in the fields. Then three brothers Dandup Gyacho, deceased Krishna Lal and Kumanand blocked his way. Dandup Gyatso tried to attack him with a stick. He blocked it with his hand which caused him minor injuries. Seeing all this, his two sons Praveen and Suman also reached there and tried to rescue him. Then Krishna Lal hit his younger son on the head with a stone and Kumanand hit Praveen’s knee with a stone which injured his son’s right knee. Police have registered a case under Sections 126(2), 115(2) and 352 of the BNS and started investigation.
