Jaipur, June 19: Monsoon entered Rajasthan on Wednesday, 7 days before the scheduled time. There was good rain in the districts of Udaipur and Jodhpur divisions. There was also rain in the districts of Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer divisions. The heat remained intense in Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Bikaner, Phalodi and its surrounding areas.
On Thursday, an orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in 5 districts of the state (Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Bundi and Rajsamand). On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Udaipur was recorded at 30 degree Celsius and in Chittorgarh at 29.1 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature was 27.5 in Bhilwara, 32.3 in Ajmer, 32.8 in Jaipur, 31.5 in Sikar, 30.9 in Baran, 31 in Dungarpur, 28.9 in Sirohi, 29.4 in Pratapgarh and 33 degree Celsius in Alwar.
Jalore received rain for 20 minutes today
Jalore received good rain on and off for about 20 minutes around 6 am on Thursday. An average of 6.7 mm rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours in the entire district, including Jalore. 11 mm rain was recorded in Jalore, 25 in Ahor, 19 in Bhadrajun, 7 in Jaswantpura and 5 mm in Sayla.
Here, in Jalore district, a farmer died due to lightning during rain at Nimbla village of Bhadrajun tehsil area on Wednesday evening around 6 o’clock. Bhadrajun tehsildar Dhamaram said – Dalaram Meena was working in his field. Just then, lightning struck.
In the last 24 hours, 2 inches of rain fell
During the last 24 hours, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Pali, Jodhpur, Sirohi, Pratapgarh and some parts of Kota received good rain. In many areas of these districts, 2 inches of rain fell. Monsoon knocked in all these areas yesterday.
The mercury reached 43 in western Rajasthan
Rain in south-eastern Rajasthan has brought relief from the heat. Due to dry weather in western Rajasthan, the heat has increased again. On Wednesday, the temperature in the areas of Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Phalodi, Barmer was recorded between 40 to 43 degree Celsius. On Wednesday, Jaisalmer was the hottest place where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.1 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 42.9 in Barmer, 41.4 in Phalodi, 40.2 in Sriganganagar, 39.5 in Bikaner and 37.7 degree Celsius in Jodhpur.
