Age relaxation applicable for TGT recruitment, CBT marks fixed for different categories

It is mandatory for the general category candidates to get at least 35 percent marks in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for TGT recruitment.

Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission has fixed the minimum marks in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) recruitment. Along with this, the maximum age limit for applying in the recruitment has been set at 47 years.

The Commission has issued a revised notification in this regard. According to the notification, it will be mandatory for the general category candidates to get at least 35 percent marks in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for TGT recruitment.

Minimum requirements for different categories

For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and freedom fighter families, this minimum mark has been fixed at 30 percent. A waiting panel has also been arranged in the TGT recruitment. If there is recruitment for up to 25 posts, then the list of 25 percent additional candidates will be in the panel, in which at least two candidates will be included.

For 25 to 50 posts, this percentage will be 15 percent, while for more than 50 posts, this percentage will be 10 percent, in which at least eight candidates will be kept in the panel. Till now, the age limit to apply for TGT recruitment was 45 years, but now it has been increased to 47 years.

In the age limit of 45, candidates above this were not able to apply for these posts; in such a situation, the commission had sent a proposal to the government.
