The relatives of the deceased have demanded strict action against the tractor-trolley driver.

Two minors have died in a road accident on the Fatehgarh Churian-Dera Baba Nanak highway. The accident took place late at night near the village of Nikosra. The deceased have been identified as 15-year-old Manjot Singh (father Ranjit Singh) and 14-year-old Shubhdeep Singh (father Rajbir Singh), residents of the village Chak Mahima. The relatives of the deceased have demanded strict action against the tractor-trolley driver.

According to information, the two boys were good friends and were going to a petrol pump in Nikosra village to buy petrol at around 9 pm. Meanwhile, while reaching Dera Baba Nanak road, their motorcycle collided with an overturned trolley on the road filled with straw. The collision was so violent that both of them died on the spot.

Family members allege that the tractor-trolley driver fled the spot after the accident. He said that the trolley loaded with straw had already overturned on the road but it was not removed on time. If the administration or the responsible people had cleared the road, the accident could have been avoided. The family has considered the negligence of the trolley driver as the main reason for the accident and has demanded strict action against him. The police are currently investigating the matter.

As soon as the information about this incident was received, SHO of Dera Baba Nanak police station Satpal Singh reached the spot with his team. The police have taken possession of the bodies and sent them to the government hospital for postmortem and have started investigating the matter. Based on the statements of the family members, the police have registered a case against the tractor trolley owner.
