From next month, ration will be distributed by scanning the faces of consumers in the cheap ration shops of Himachal Pradesh. After this, lakhs of consumers of the state will get relief from the problems of the server going down during OTP and biometric authentication.
Preparations are being made to implement new technology by the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. The department will launch the face authentication app within a week. Preparations are underway to launch the app, and the plan to get rationed by scanning the face will start from July.
After the launch of the app, lakhs of ration consumers of the state, troubled by OTP and biometric,c will get relief. A new technology is being implemented to overcome the problem of frequent server failures in depots. This will not make consumers wait. In the face authentication app, the face of consumers will be scanned to get ration from the depots and the ration will be available only after matching with Aadhaar. This app will be on the mobile of the depot holder who distributes the ration.
Preparations are being made by the department to launch the app. After this new system starts in the depots soon, consumers will get relief from the problems of server downtime.
