Amritsar Police crackdown: Youth nabbed with illegal weapon

Amritsar, June 23: Amritsar District Rural Police has achieved a big success in the case of illegal possession of weapons. A young man has been arrested by the police. Pistol and cartridges have been recovered from him. The police has also seized the bike recovered from the young man. The arrested youth is being interrogated by the police team, after which he will be produced in the court and further action will be taken.

Police raid based on secret information

According to the information, Mehta police station has arrested Satinder Pal Singh from Pul Sua Dayalgarh on the basis of confidential information. Satinder Pal is a resident of Khevrajputa. A pistol, magazine, 4 live cartridges and a bullet have been recovered from the accused. This action was taken under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Maninder Singh IPS and DSP Jandiala Ravinder Singh.

Interrogation of the accused continues

The police have registered FIR no. 67 against the accused under the Arms Act at Mehta police station. The accused will be produced in court soon. The police will interrogate the accused during remand and find out about his other accomplices. If the involvement of any other person comes to light in the investigation, legal action will be taken against him as well.
