Venice, June 27: Amazon founder and the world’s fourth richest businessman Jeff Bezos (60) is going to marry his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez (55) in Venice, Italy today. Jeff is spending about 50 million dollars i.e. 450 crores rupees on his second marriage.
Many big celebrities including Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump have arrived to attend the ceremony. Preparations for this wedding have been going on for the last several days. Around 200-250 VIP guests are attending this wedding. 90 private jets have landed at Venice airport.

Guests are travelling from hotels to the venues on private boats and water taxis on the canals of Venice.
The wedding venue was changed due to protests
The venue of the wedding was initially decided to be in the Cannaregio area of Venice, but due to security reasons and opposition from locals, it was changed to the old fortress ‘Hall of the Arsenale’.
Locals are protesting against Bezos’ wedding and calling it a ‘billionaire’s playground’. They say that Venice is already suffering from overtourism and inflation. Such parties of the rich divert attention from the real problems of the city.
The engagement took place in Italy in 2023
Bezos and Lauren got engaged in Italy in August 2023. Guests like Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kris Jenner attended this party.
Bezos proposed engagement on his new superyacht. He gave Sanchez a heart-shaped ring. This ring has a 20-carat diamond embedded in it.
