The Punjab Vigilance team has left for Himachal with Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia. According to sources, today the Punjab Vigilance team will take Bikram Singh Majithia to many places in Punjab and Himachal. He has been taken to Himachal as a part of the vigilance bureau’s investigation.

For this, the team has left in a convoy of several vehicles. So far, former Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay and former PA Talbir Singh Gill have recorded their statements against him with the Vigilance.

Majithia was arrested at his Amritsar house

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau had arrested Bikram Singh Majithia on June 25 at 11:30 am in the case of disproportionate assets. Bikram Majithia’s lawyers claim that the report was submitted to the Vigilance at 10:30 pm on June 24, while Majithia was arrested after registering a case at 4:30 am the next day.

On Thursday, Bikram Singh Majithia was produced in a Mohali court under tight security. During this, the government prosecutors sought a 12-day remand, but the court granted a 7-day remand. Now the next hearing of the case will be on July 2.

However, Majithia’s lawyer, Arshdeep Singh Kler says that Majithia speaks against the government, due to which this action has been taken. He said that the government says something in the Supreme Court, while the argument in the district court says something else. At the same time, he says that the companies about which the vigilance is making claims are all recognized by the Government of India.
