Rain alert in Haryana: Weather to remain bad till July 6

The weather is likely to keep changing in Haryana for the next 4 days. The Meteorological Department Centre Chandigarh (IMD) has predicted rain from 3rd to 6th July.

Rohtak, July 3: The weather is likely to keep changing in Haryana for the next 4 days. The Meteorological Department Centre Chandigarh (IMD) has predicted rain from 3rd to 6th July. Under this, there may be heavy rain in 3 districts on Thursday. These include Ambala, Yamunanagar and Karnal.

Moderate showers expected in districts 

At the same time, there may be moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Panchkula and Kurukshetra. Whereas, there is a possibility of drizzle in 14 districts Kaithal, Jind, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Palwal, Mewat and Faridabad. Among these, there has been rain in the morning in Mahendragarh.

According to Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar , till now, moist monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal are likely to come towards the state and moist winds from the Arabian Sea are likely to come due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan. Due to this, the weather in Haryana may remain variable till July 5. During this time, due to the possibility of increased activity of monsoon winds, there may be rains accompanied by winds and thunderstorms in the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, an average of 85.6 mm of rain has been recorded so far in 2025. Which is much more than the normal 60.7 mm. This time, due to the entry of monsoon 5 days earlier, the rainfall has been more than normal so far.

Haryana’s maximum temperature increased by 2.9 degrees

On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Haryana registered an increase of 2.9 degrees Celsius. Whereas, the minimum temperature of the state is also around normal. Sirsa was the hottest district of the state. The maximum temperature of Sirsa was measured at 37.4 degrees Celsius.

Temperature changed in 24 hours

Talking about the change in weather in the last 24 hours, an increase in maximum temperature was recorded across the state. The highest increase in maximum temperature of Haryana was recorded in Ambala at 5.3 degrees Celsius. After this, the maximum temperature of Ambala has reached 37.2 degrees Celsius.
