Kurukshetra’s special team has busted the illegal racket of fetal sex determination in Ambala’s Cantt Civil Hospital. In the raid that started at 10 am on Thursday, hospital’s fourth-class employee Sagar and another person, Rajji were arrested on the spot with Rs 60,000 in cash.
The employee along with his aide had received money to check the sex of the foetus. The racket was busted and the accused were arrested by the investigating team.
During the three-hour investigation, the team of Kurukshetra’s doctor Rishi, Dr. Gaurav V Dr. Rajiv caught both the accused red-handed while doing fetal sex determination in the ultrasound room.
Police recovered Rs 32,000 from Sagar and Rs 28,000 from Rajji. For the investigation, the team had prepared a decoy (Mohra) Manju. The accused called Manju first to the Cantt bus stand and then to Football Chowk, after which they took her to the hospital and tried to carry out illegal activity.
Police have registered a case against both the accused and the investigation is going on.
