Chamoli, July 3: Devotees clashed with each other at the main gate of Badrinath Dham. A scuffle broke out between the two groups in the crowd. Devotees started beating each other at the main gate of the temple. Seeing this, all the devotees standing nearby also got scared. Some people present there made a video of this scuffle between the two sides, which is going viral on social media.
It is being told that this fight between the pilgrims happened over taking photos. Actually, the gates of the temple were closed for some time during the afternoon bhog. Meanwhile, many devotees started taking photos there. Due to the crowd, the devotees also faced difficulty in taking photos.
Dispute between both parties regarding taking a photo
During this time, there was a dispute between both the two parties regarding taking a photo, which turned into a scuffle. Both the parties started hitting each other at the gate of the temple itself. Seeing the dispute increasing, the police personnel present in the temple premises pacified both parties.
Badrinath police station in-charge Navneet Bhandari said that there was a dispute between the two parties over taking photographs. During this, the police personnel deployed in the temple premises immediately reached the spot and resolved the dispute between the two parties. He said that both parties as well as other devotees, have been advised not to create such disputes in the temple premises.
