The Punjab-Haryana High Court is going to get 10 new judges soon, which will further speed up the work of the High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of 10 Sessions Judges as High Court Judges.
Who are the recommended 10 Sessions Judges?
The Supreme Court Collegium has sent a proposal to the Central Government to recommend the appointment of 10 Sessions Judges as High Court Judges. The 10 Sessions Judges recommended by the Collegium for appointment as High Court Judges include Virender Agarwal, Mandeep Pannu, Pramod Goyal, Shalini Singh Nagpal, Amarinder Singh Grewal, Subhash Mehla, Surya Pratap Singh, Rupinderjit Chahal, Aradhana Sahni and Yashvir Singh Rathore.
The Supreme Court has recommended the appointment of these ten as High Court Judges, now after the consent of the President, their appointment orders will be issued.
A total of 85 vacancies of judges in the High Court
Let us tell you that there are a total of 85 vacancies of judges in Punjab and Haryana High Court, but at present, only 51 judges are working in the High Court.
Now, after the appointment of these ten judges, the number of judges in the High Court will become 61. It is certain that after the appointment of these judges, the disposal of pending cases in the High Court will also speed up.
