Road blocked in Mandi due to falling stones

There is a huge number of landslides due to which the traffic has come to a complete standstill.

The road has been blocked due to continuous falling of stones from the hill on the National Highway at Diod of Pandoh in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. There is a huge number of landslides due to which the traffic has come to a complete standstill.

According to the local people, the process of falling of stones from the hill has been going on since morning. Due to this, there is a long jam on both sides of the highway. People are troubled and forced to stop at safe places.

The administration and NHAI teams have reached the spot, and efforts are on to restore the road. However, due to the continuous falling of debris and stones from the hill, the work is being hampered. Vehicles have been stopped at Nau Mile and Aut.

ASI Anil Katoch from Pandoh post said that the vehicles have been stopped at a safe place. The situation is being monitored.

Let us tell you that Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh has been severely impacted by a series of cloudbursts and flash floods, particularly since June 30, 2025.

The death toll in Mandi has risen to 14, with 31 people still missing as of July 4, 2025. Across Himachal Pradesh, reports indicate between 37 to 69 deaths due to rain-related incidents since the monsoon began on June 20, with Mandi being the worst-hit district.
