The Kanwar Yatra will start from July 11. Kanwariyas from Punjab, Himachal, and other districts of Haryana will go to Haridwar by train and return with Ganga water. This time the Railways have also decided to make special arrangements in view of the Kanwar Yatra so that they do not have to face any trouble.
The responsibility of this arrangement will be handed over to the GRP and the RPF. They will guide the devotees and also solve their problems. Their teams will also take care of the purity of Ganga water.
The Railways has issued instructions regarding the Kanwar Yatra so that all preparations can be completed in time. For this, preparations for the formation of teams, marking of trains, deployment of staff at the station and in trains and responsibility of security personnel for help will also be fixed.
Ten trains are operated
10 trains are being operated daily from Ambala Cantt railway station towards Haridwar. These include train number 14610 Hemkunt Express, 14632 Amritsar-Dehradun Express, 14888 Barmer-Rishikesh Express, 14626 Firozpur-Haridwar Express, 14606 Jammu Tawi-Yeshwantpur Express, 14815 Sriganganagar-Rishikesh Express, 12054 Haridwar Jan Shatabadi, 14717 Bikaner-Haridwar Express, 64512 Una Himachal-Haridwar Express and train number 19271 Bhavnagar-Haridwar Express.
