The roof of a house collapsed due to lightning in Sirsima village. Satyapal Singh and his wife, who were sleeping in the house, were seriously injured in the accident. Satyapal suffered head and hand injuries, while his wife suffered serious spinal injuries.
After the accident, the villagers immediately pulled the couple out of the debris and admitted them to a private hospital in the city. After first aid at the hospital, both were sent home. A major accident was averted due to the prompt action of the villagers.
Dense clouds had covered the sky at midnight and lightning had started flashing. Due to heavy rain in the morning, the roof of two rooms of the house collapsed completely due to lightning. The villagers have appealed to the administration to take immediate action and make arrangements for the rehabilitation of the affected family.
