Canada, July 11: After the firing incident at the newly launched ‘Kaps Cafe’ of famous comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, the entire team has released an emotional statement through social media. In this statement, the team said that they are not going to be afraid and will continue to live their dreams.
9 rounds of bullets fired, no one injured
The incident took place at the cafe located near the Surrey and North Delta border, where at least 9 bullets were fired. Fortunately, no one was injured in this firing. The attacker also made a video of the firing, which is rapidly going viral on social media. In this, a person sitting in a car outside the cafe is seen continuously firing from inside the car. However, there is no news of anyone being injured in the incident so far.
Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi has claimed responsibility for this attack. He claims that this attack was carried out due to some alleged comments of Kapil Sharma.
The team released a ‘message from the heart’
A post named “A Message from the Heart” was shared on the official Instagram story of the cafe. The post showed emotions, patience and courage:
“We dreamed of making Caps Cafe a place where warmth, community and happiness can be found. It is heartbreaking to have this dream interrupted by violence. We are suffering from this shock, but will not give up.”
Focus came from people’s support
The team further wrote:
“Your messages, prayers and shared memories mean a lot to us. This cafe exists because of your faith. Let us stand together against violence and make it a place full of love and belonging.”
Police was also thanked
The team also thanked Surrey Police and Delta Police:
“We thank @surreypolice and @deltapd from the bottom of our hearts, who reached on time and ensured everyone’s safety.”
Kaps Cafe had a grand opening
This cafe was opened in collaboration with Kapil Sharma’s wife Ginni Chatrath. Its interior has been made very beautiful with pink and white colors, crystal chandeliers, and floral decor.
Childishly soft pink couches, and a great menu that includes sweet treats like lemon pistachio cake, chocolate brownies, and butter croissants.

NIA looking for Harjeet Ladi in VHP leader’s murder case
The NIA is looking for Harjeet Singh Ladi in connection with the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Vikas Prabhakar alias Vikas Bagga. The VHP leader was shot dead at his shop in Punjab’s Rupnagar district in April 2024.
Harjeet Singh Ladi has been linked to extortion, murder and gang-related activities in Canada and India. He operates under the cover of BKI and is accused of several target killings and attempted murders. The Canadian cities of Surrey and Brampton have seen a surge in such gang-terror-linked attacks in recent months.
