National Desk: The government on Wednesday approved the formation of an autonomous unit named ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ to develop a sense of responsibility towards duties, service spirit in the Youth and positive use of youth energy in building a self-reliant India.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur told the press conference after the Cabinet meeting here today that the formation of this institute has been approved with the aim of realizing the aspirations of the youth and providing equal opportunities to all the youth.
He said that the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is forming this autonomous body to act as a comprehensive and capable mechanism driven by technology for youth development and youth-led development and to provide equal opportunities to the youth.
The Union Minister said, “The main objective of ‘My Young India’ is to create a complete and comprehensive platform for the development of the youth of the country which will be run by the government itself.
Under this new system, the youth of the country will have increased access to resources and will be able to connect with opportunities, the youth community will become nation builders by becoming watchdogs of change and the youth will be able to act as a youth bridge between the government and the citizens of the country. Its objective is to harness the immense youth energy for nation building.
