New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the 7th Indian Mobile Congress-2023 at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Following this, PM Modi also dedicated 100 ‘5G Use Case Labs’ to educational institutions across the country. The 100 ‘5G Labs’ will promote innovation in various socio-economic sectors like education, agriculture, health, power, transportation and take the country forward in the use of 5G technology.
At the 7th Mobile Congress that started from Bharat Mandapam, Reliance Jio’s Akash Ambani informed PM Modi about the company’s Space Fiber technology, which is capable of providing speeds of up to 1 GB per second. Jio Bharat Phone was also showcased at the Indian Mobile Congress-2023.
PM Modi reached an exhibition organized there, where he was given information about new technology. The country’s biggest industrialists are participating in the 7th Mobile Congress. Union IT and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was also present in the program. The event will run till October 29 and will provide an opportunity to showcase India’s progress in telecommunications and technology.
The three-day congress will highlight technologies like 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence (AI) and discuss issues related to the semiconductor industry, green technology, cyber security, etc. IMC 2023 will be attended by over one lakh participants from around 22 countries including around 5000 CEO level delegates, 230 presenters, 400 startups and other stakeholders.
