Prime Minister Launches Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra; event live screened at Punjab Raj Bhawan

In a monumental event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from Khunti, Jharkhand. The launch ceremony, broadcast live at Punjab Raj Bhawan, was graced by the esteemed presence of Governor of Punjab & Administrator,, UT Chandigarh Shri Banwarilal Purohit. Beneficiaries of various government schemes were also present at Punjab Raj Bhawan.

Underlining the government’s dedication to progress, the Prime Minister articulated the vision and objectives of the transformative Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, with a specific emphasis on uplifting the tribal population while concurrently preserving their rich cultural heritage.

During the launch event, insightful speeches were delivered by Union Minister Shri Arjun Munda and Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren. The Prime Minister unveiled several significant projects, including the PM PVTG Mission, the release of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi installment, and the initiation of various infrastructural developments through foundation stone laying. Milestone projects dedicated to the nation, such as the Permanent Campus of IIM, Ranchi, and achieving 100% electrification of the Rail Network in Jharkhand, underscored the gravity of the government’s commitment. The Viksit Bharat Yatra was ceremoniously flagged off from the dais, accompanied by the screening of short films highlighting key developmental initiatives.

A video message from the President of India provided a national perspective. The proceedings concluded with the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Pledge and a comprehensive address by the Prime Minister, reinforcing the goals and aspirations of the Yatra.
