Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with all CPs and SSPs of the state today. Sharing details about the meeting, CM Mann in a post on X said, “Today, a meeting was held with all the CP and SSP of Punjab and asked everyone to intensify the fight against drugs across the country.” He also directed police officers to go among the people in the villages to solve their problems.

CM further added, “We want our officers to work diligently without any pressure so that 3.5 crore Punjabis remain safe.”

The meeting was held at CM’s office and was attended by all top officials of Punjab Police including DGP Gaurav Yadav and others. Many issues including law and order were discussed in today’s meeting. CM asked police officials to act strictly on cases of Ransom. CM appealed to all the SSPs to go among the people and work at the grassroots level. CM also stressed on the issue of illegal mining. He further directed police officers to deal with strictness on mobile phones found in jails.
