Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Haris Rauf, Usama Mir and Zaman Khan to play in the BBL and has issued a show cause notice to Rauf who withdrew from the Test series against Australia. After that, all three players will be able to play in the BBL till December 28. The board has said that the approval has been given keeping in mind the ‘players’ workload and the future tour schedule of the national men’s team’. After the Australia tour, the Pakistan team has to play a T20 series against New Zealand.
It is noteworthy that the first match of (Big Bash League) BBL 2023-24 will be played on December 7. These players are allowed to play in BBL only till 28 December. In this case, Usama and Roop will be able to play only five matches for Melbourne Stars. At the same time, Zaman will also be able to play the same number of matches for Sydney Thunders. The board said, “PCB understands that this is a balanced decision for all parties involved in this matter along with workload management. It has taken care of all the stakeholders.
At the same time, the team of Melbourne Stars has already started looking for a player in place of Rauf. He invited Ally Stone for a practice session. Stone can be included in his team. Rauf’s recent decision not to play the Test series against Australia has been criticized by many PCB members. In this context, he has also issued a show cause notice to Rauf.
